MITLA -a charming frog like adventure

MITLA is an adventure videogame for the "GIGAJAM", inspired by the Mesoamerican legends of the Oaxaca Valley, Mexico, and adapted to explore themes of Elemental Power, Mystical Creatures, and Lost Realms. The game blends cultural heritage with a narrative steeped in myth and tragedy.

The story follows a prince who uses a false prophecy to unite two warring tribes, angering the gods. In punishment, he is transformed into a frog and banished to a labyrinth that guards the remains of his beloved—a fallen star who descended to the world as a princess. Their forbidden love defied divine laws, leading to her tragic death and his eternal torment.

Players embody the mystical frog, wielding powers tied to the elements to traverse the labyrinth.  Along the way, players encounter mythical creatures, guardians of the labyrinth, and echoes of the prince’s past.
